So clearly I am the laziest blogger ever since it's been months...and I haven't uploaded any new pictures to my computer so that will have to be saved until next time (even though the pictures themselves are like three months old haha). It's been a crazy busy couple of months! December was nice because I actually got to relax for once. I was supposed to take a winter class but my husband talked me out of it so we'd actually be able to enjoy our vacation and I'm so glad I decided not to. We got to spend a lot of time with our friends, and spend a week in California that we wouldn't have been able to otherwise. And since we did, we got to go to DISNEYLAND! for free! Jeff's uncle works at Disneyland and since I've been dating Jeff, this was the second time I got to go with him for free so that is pretty exciting. His little brother David came with us too and it was fun for us all to spend the day with him because he is now GONE on his mission! I think it hasn't really hit Jeff yet because we're not there, but I'm sure the next time we go to visit he will really be missing his brother. I know I did, but then again I only had one sibling and Jeff has seven..haha.
We had a week after our Cali trip to get ready for school in January so we lived it up by sleeping in late everyday and doing nothing but play. This is Jeff's first semester back in school since he started dating me since he had to give up BYU to date me without the long-distance factor. I'm glad it worked out for us! He is working really hard and I almost feel like he has more homework than I do! School is just as stressful as ever for me though since I added an externship to the mix, so I go downtown to the Court of Appeals 3 times a week and my days consist of reading long briefs and writing nice little drafts about them. Reading all that gives me a little taste of why people think attorneys are so obnoxious...because they are haha. But I am loving it, I am learning a LOT about different areas of law that I was previously clueless about.
Last weekend, we made a quick little trip to California because it was Jeff's last chance to see his little bro. We had fun with his family going to a play to watch his super talented little sister Stacie. And then on Sunday morning we got to see his brother set apart as an Elder. It was really cool because the stake president had them do a mini-testimony meeting that was really great. I just thought it was funny that his immediate family was big enough to do that. If we did one with my family it would probably only last five minutes since there's only four of us.
Well I will post some pictures next of our Valentine's gifts (which we already both know what they are, haha we are lame and bad at keeping secrets).

christmas cards?
So my mom asked me about a month ago if I wanted to do Christmas cards this year since I'm married now, but I was like eh, no that's for people with kids. But then when I ran into Bro. Kempton (he was in the high council and assigned to my singles ward just before we got married) at the institute this week, I realized there's lots of people that mean a lot to us that we don't get to see hardly ever anymore and it would be cute to send Christmas cards to those people. Plus, I've been dying to do a cute fall photo shoot with Jeff. Sooo if anyone knows an awesome photographer who does photo sessions for relatively cheap, send their info my way :) I wish we could ask Jeff's best friends' mom to do pictures for us since she did an amazing job on our engagements, but we won't be able to go to California til Christmas. Which I'm kind of freaked out about after reading a friend's blog and reading up on the TSA security measures. I hate the idea of spending Christmas day in the car which is why I just booked our flight out there, but I'm hoping that maybe by Christmas, the government will listen to everyone's protests to being basically molested by the TSA for security. Doubtful. Let's just hope I can keep my temper in check that day...

break times
So I've had a crazy couple of weeks and decided to give myself a break for a few days...so I actually have time to blog for a minute haha. I spent pretty much every waking moment (after classes) working on my 25 page brief for my writing class and I finally completely finished it yesterday...bound and everything (which was an ordeal in and of itself). And for added stress, I had nine interviews this week for a legal writing internship. It was completely exhausting trying to keep conversations going when all you're tlaking about is work. But hopefully now I'm an expert on interviews and maybe I'll actually get a job out of it. I'm just glad this crazy week is over so next week I can start my 15 page paper for a different class. Law school is sooo incredibly fun..
On a better note, Jeff and I went to Sprinkles and I'm so excited to eat them. Seriously the best cupcakes ever. It took us like 20 minutes of waiting in line to get them but it's totally worth it.
I'm starting to have second thoughts about our apartment security because someone keeps ripping into our Netflix movies. The last three movies we got, the envelope was all ripped up and taped back together. Luckily they were movies that were older so we still got them. But this time we rented Robin Hood that just came out a couple weeks ago so whoever's been ripping into our movies decided it was interesting enough to steal. And yet they were dumb enough to leave behind part of the envelope so we know that someone stole it. Don't really understand their logic but I guess idiots don't really think. I'd love to find out who's doing it and I will definitely get them into tons of trouble.
Anyways, here's a couple pictures from the last couple of weeks' activities:

Birthday Fever
Jeff's birthday is tomorrow and we've been celebrating his birthday pretty much all week. He told me that one of his companions in Japan (Ando, I think) had his birthday around the same time as Jeff when they were together and he said they were going to have "birthday fever" (in his Japanese accent) and I thought it was really cute and the phrase has caught on to everything we did this week. We had yakiniku (Japanese bbq) for dinner on Wednesday night cuz it's Jeff's favorite and on Thursday we had Japanese squash (another of his faves) followed by a Vampire Diaries watching party at Ken's (cuz it's our new addiction).
We both had Friday off so we decided to go to the AZ State Fair. I thought I was going to die on the crappy little roller coaster ride we went in and I literally felt like I was about to fly out of the seat, but it was still a lot of fun. We played a bunch of carnie games and I won a little turtle stuffed animal that was neon green and orange and Jeff kept telling me it was ugly. I think he was just jealous that I won haha.
Since we were already halfway to Glendale, we decided to go to Cabela's and check out some guns. We've been wanting one for a while just in case someone breaks into our apartment...or if the world ends anytime soon. I decided to let Jeff buy one cuz it was "birthday fever" and he was so excited about it that we had to take it out shooting today. Ken came with us and we drove all the way out almost to Apache Junction to an outdoor shooting range. I've never been to a shooting range so it kinda freaked me out how loud it was. The boys had fun of course-I did too except I felt like everyone was talking to me like I didn't know what I was doing (which I didn't but still...). Maybe next time I'll wear camo instead of stilletto boots so I don't look like an airhead..
Birthday Fever continued as we went to Outback for dinner and ate our bloomin' onion in like less than five minutes. Sooo good. The steaks were good too but we kinda slowed down by then. Jeff was really takin advantage of the whole birthday fever thing all week since we went out to eat probably five or six times and he got everything he wanted (including a huge bag of Dibs that we're about to eat right now). I told him he was a prima donna birthday boy. Anyways, two more hours til his official birthday and I'm too excited to give him his birthday present so he's getting it right at midnight. I can't wait to see his reaction haha. Hopefully I'll get some pictures up from this weekend soon!
